- Windows License Sticker
On most laptops the Windows License Sticker is located on the
bottom of the case.
It is common for that sticker to wear and become unreadable.
If it is ever necessary to reinstall Windows, you will not be able to
do so without the alphanumeric product key on that sticker.
Can you imagine buying another
copy of Windows just because that product key is unreadable ?
Here are two
tips to avoid this problem:
1. With a fine tipped sharpie marker,
very carefully write that product key on the Windows install disc.
2. Place a piece of clear shipping tape
over the label to prevent damage to the sticker.
